FWIW over the years I've become reasonably accurate with crowd estimates at BV and I would say that you're not far off with that figure, vasty.

It's not too difficult under normal circumstances, working on the usual 4k average of the faithful add on some extras and part timers depending on the visiting team, plus the away support on the western terrace which isn't all that difficult to estimate and you'll not be far off, but we aren't playing to regular crowds atm which makes it a lot harder to estimate, not sure why the club can't give out the attendances as normal fwiw.

Other than using it as yet another stick to beat the club with, I don't see a great need to know the exact crowd figure. Going by info coming out of the club shop on Facebook and Twitter we appear to get to as near a sell out as makes no difference which is all that matters currently.

I do know that in the past some clubs gave a paying attendance whilst others gave a figure that included everyone in attendance, paying or not, even the players!

You should have a look at the thread with the council's response to what the reduced capacity is, it is 31% of the capacity, get your calculator out see what it comes to and how close your estimate is.
