| Quote Wakefield City Loyal="Wakefield City Loyal"While we are still at Belle Vue it would make sense to keep it home only with everywhere else mixed. It will keep the atmosphere and as the north stand is where our more passionate/volatile supporters now stand it will defuse any flash points.'"
I think there's plenty of passion down the west and east terracing. As for volatile do you mean nobheads?
With no segregation and the expected lower turn out of home fans I think it's unrealistic to restrict access to the North Stand. Against Leeds and Cas for example the stand will only be a quarter full yet the rest of the ground will be heaving.

Well it was packed for the Leeds games last season best atmosphere for any RL or football match I've witnessed for years and we need that kind of atmosphere to carry us through for a hard season next season. Need the crowd as our extra man next season and not make it easy for away teams

Yes, but with no segregation a lot of us will no longer be in the North Stand.

and with segregation, 25% of the North Stand was given over to Leeds fans forcing us into even worse viewing positions and leaving us in range of the pots of EDIT the Leeds fans were chucking over as the stewards watched on.

| In the past we had natural segregation because what happened was fans stood at the end that their team was playing towards and changed ends at half time, trouble is Wakefields ground is not the best to do this anymore.

This is still my preferred option. I have a set of footprints on the Northern Terrace that I have stood in for years (for 1 half of the game) and another set in the Southwest corner (where I stand for the other half).
We have one of the few grounds left in RL where you can actually do this

| I'll be back in the West Stand but I didn't particularly mind the North stand. Segregation tends to cause more problems than it solves but I think there needs to be a strategy in place for the visits of Cas & Leeds. I'd have an early kick off for the Cas match so that a select few haven't had a few too many jars

| Lots of debate on the subject of segregation and no final word on the matter, so what's to be done? Bloody simple, let people stand where they want. If you went to a pub and the landlord dictated where you could sit (or stand) then you would not be very happy. Its the same at the game, if we let the segregation carry on we are one step away from the round ball people who as we know eat their young. So come on guys spread yourselves about a bit and enjoy the game for Gods sake.

| If it were that simple it wouldn't have been needed in the first place would it.

| Been a Cas fan I think if you do not scrap segregation your going to loose away support I know a lot of Cas fans will no go and cue for over 30 mins to get in the away stand and when we got in there not be able to see because so over crowded and few Leeds fans I know said the same thing.

To be fair the annoying thing for me is if we scrap segregation once again its the away fans that benefit from the North stand. Cover from the rain and a roof to make their voices heard all the more.
BV will be like an away ground for us again. 18th man? no chance if that happens.
IMO.

| There is no right or wrong option regarding crowd control at belle Vue, we have to choose the option that's the best and safest for the club and fans. If there was terracing on the south end we wouldn't have this discussion as natural segregation would prevail. It would have been better just to cover the whole western terrace and left the north stand uncovered and left the away fans there as that's where they've always stood. What we have now is the north stand which is now the home end where a lot of Wakefields more colourful characters like to go and it creates a good atmosphere we haven't had at belle Vue since they knocked the south bank down. Next season If no form of segregation away fans will stand on the north stand as that's where they come in the Wakefield fans will not want to be moved as a lot like the new stand and the atmosphere and cover it provides, hopefully everybody ell mix well and shake hands after the match but sadly I don't think this will always be the case. The trouble is a lot of fans don't know how to mix anymore particularly away fans they are used to having their own stand. Answer is let's work out the best solution and get to nm ASAP
