Are Bradford doing "a Wigan" now ?

I've had a few hours to try and think around the new structure and I'm utterly p'd off.

The clubs at the lower end of SL have effectively been consigned to some half baked 2nd division.

After 16 seasons of successfully battling with top flight survival, with occasional dalliances with the play offs, The Fat Controller and his merry men are finally seeing that we get dropped.

Ok, we may stay in the top 12 for a number of seasons but, every year we will be battling relegation.

How is this supposed to endear fans to the game of Rugby League

The new formula is obviously geared up for clubs like Hudds and potentially Salford. Clubs on life-support like ours and possibly Bradford need not apply.

But if we're on life support do we deserve to be in the top flight?

The 3 x 8 option was apparently 7 -6 in favour. Sadly wakefield voted for the cut 12 and the 3 x 8 model.

Interesting that so many 'smaller' or financially weaker clubs have voted for this 3 x 8 option.

Shouldn't comment on other teams if you know nowt about them. Well over half fevs squad are full time already and plan to be completely full time by 2015.



I think we'll have enough quality to make the top 4 in the 8. You lot on the other hand will probably end up in the championship for 2015 and end up in the third 8

So when are the formalities of this proposal going to be rolled out ie funding , parachute payments, minimum ground standards surly this has been signed off before being announced , then again we are tailing the RFL

Anyway, ignoring fevfan76's totally inane contribution. I think that the new structure could be of more benefit to the Wakefield district clubs than to other areas. The chances are that, initially, Trinity, Cas and Rovers will be in the same leagues be it the top 12 or the middle 8. The potential for some needle derby matches with lots to play for and big attendances is huge. Could be more beneficial financially than playing the likes of Catalans, Salford, London etc.

We won't grace the 3 rd tier of the game like some clubs have we will get on with it just like we did when we got kicked out of the top division in 95. We got ourselves sorted did something about it and got promoted.
