Does anyone else think that we are sometimes preaching to the converted? we advertise in the wakey express and have boards as you are coming into wakefield, but why not try the barnsley chronicle, its only 10 mins down the M1. I'm sure that we would have got a few "tarn" lads down at BV if they had known about the £2 apint offer on at the salford match. Spread ours wings a bit. If you come into BV the crofton way their is a poster advertising fev!!!!!1 |

We're not dealing with right-minded supporters - we're dealing either with people who've fallen out with WTW and need to be persuaded to come back, or with people who've never been, but might try it out given the right nudge; sign 'em up with the Quins ticket I say, in the hope that that their membership entices them to more games in the future.

As much as I agree with you on the non supporters aspect, this is not solely about them, this is about collecting members to tick a franchise box as I understand it, and that would be easier done (collecting 5000 members) from the existing support.
I think Saturdays event will be aimed more at mopping up the remainder from the former supporters and man and women from the street.
My OP was aimed more at the clubs inability to give the memberships away FWIW, this would be as ridiculous as my take on clubs inflating their poor attendances by giving tickets away. |
