Agree, how is ' ... wife has struggled to settle especially as her mother is Ill, had a newborn baby that was Ill. ' creating a massive domestic problem, don't see how anyone can say that about the bloke, those issues can effect any player.

I understand what you are saying ,the guy has suffered set backs beyond is control. However form what I understand the situation has been made far worse due to the fact he is over here. Returning to Austrailia would not put everything right but would make things easier I would presume.

Ateotd he wouldn't be the first overseas player that's found it tough to settle over here in the first season, like some of those did lets hope he becomes better for it and has a storming second year.

I fully expect Mellars to be a part of the team next year. Perhaps lining up a back line like this would see him regain his Crusaders form.

Wouldn't want to see Cockayne at FB personally his ball control not always the best to say the least. Bit like Mathers.... Fox and Cockayne are strong in the areas all Wakey wingers should be and that's taking the ball up especially in our own 20 on the first and second tackle. I'd be interested to see their tackle bust stats as it feels like they break more tackles than anyone else

I have been reading some awful comments from "so called" Wakefield fans towards Southern on twitter, I hope none of these scumbags are on this site, total disgrace to berate a player like that, Southern is a class player currently out of form for a number of reasons (personal & injury) and we supporters should support him, those slagging him off on social media need to take a long hard look at themselves

I have no idea how Twitter works, but just searched for his profile and read some of the comments. This just shows why players should not use Twitter...Facebook is a much safer alternative!!

Just read the stuff on twitter that is an absolute discrace. He cannot tell us he is a true fan to go on twitter and write things like that. Bluey has had injuries and his wife has taken time to settle but in the run up to his injury at bradford he had been playing well.



I can see steve coming back and playing an important part in the run in to the end of the season.



Probably if he hadnt come over from australia he wouldnt get half the abuse either.

I joined twitter as link to the club to get faster input into the away games but have taken a instant dislike to the way it is controlled.



the remarks made to Steve is nothing less than disgraceful and disrespectful to a player that hasn't done anything anything bar for been off form, who knows whether it is down to injury or personal reasons either way just stepping on the field should give the respect in the first instance, its not for the faint hearted.



I find facebook is a far better way to contact old colleagues and friends but to honest still get bored with that too
