| I understand that Hunslet beat Cas Panthers in the U14's final, 22-10.

| Cas Panthers really ought to have won their game against Hunslet, at 10 - 6 up with about 15 minutes to go Cas ran out of steam and Hunslet slipped through some tired defence and scored two soft tries to take a 16 - 10 lead. In the dying seconds Hunslet scored another try due to tired defending and eventually won by 22 - 10, a score line which flattered them.
The U13s game was an entertaining match with two teams evenly matched but very different in their style of play. Criggleston got off to a flying start with JD scoring two 50 yarders and it looked as though East Hull would get blown away.
East Hull were a very well drilled team in both attack and defence and had their own stand out player at Loose Forward. Where The All Blacks had more strike players East Hull played some superb team rugby and had organisation and shape in attack way beyond their years.
18 - 18 at full time and then Crigg took control with some superb approach play finished off by Jack Duggan who ended with four tries to his name.
Very entertaining match with loads of ability and Tallent on show.

A good summary of both games which were very entertaining and very competitive and well worth the entrance fee.
Really proud of the panthers effort and but for a serious injury to the panthers full back I still feel they could have got back into it against a very fit and fast hunslet side.
Congratulations to crigglestone who proved just too powerful for a well drilled and talented east hull side who can also be proud of there effort.these two sides set the standard for there age group and it will take a very good teà m to beat either in there respective leagues.

got to agree with that and my heart really goes out to the east hull lads , heaven only knows how they must be felling today after the effort they put in.

| All the games yesterday were really entertaining, well worth the £3 entrance fee.
Very different from last years finals days were there were a number of walkovers.
Thought the Cas Panthers lads were going to pull of a shock and they may have won it if it wasn't for the full back going off (BTW that sounded a really nasty injury hope the lads OK) the Hull v Crigg game was another really entertaining game with the result in doubt until extra time, both teams made a terrific advert for the junior game, the Siddal v wests game was closer than the score gives the impression of and a great first cup for Siddal team. the last game of the day Crigg 17's v Lock lane was another nail biter and close with only 2 points in it at the end shame for any team to loose by such a close margin when putting in that kind of effort.
I think Yorkshire (and generally west yorks) is producing some fine young talent and the game at an amateur level in the district of Wakefield has never been as strong IMHO
Well done to all the teams’ yesterday winners and losers, it's no mean feet getting to a county cup final, something I never achieved in my limited youth career.

The panthers full back "will dagger" unfortunatley broke his arm in his effort to score. He was 1 of a number on both sides that was playing a blinder and would of been in the running for motm that's if he didn't get it anyhow although the hunslet centre might of edged it.

| Cameron Smith was my man of the match, he was involved in everything Cas Panthers did but unfortunately that effort took its toll and he eventually ran out of steam. Jamie Longstaff was another who Hunslet found hard to handle and as you say Will Dagger looked capable of getting over the line.
Really sorry to hear he's broken his arm, hope he recovers fully and quickly
