We read reports that the players 'like' him.
Maybe this is the problem.
Some get preferential treatment whilst others get the short straw.
He seems to be able to spot good players but doesn't know how to get the best out of them.'"
Kath Hetherington influence?

| The scoreline flattered us. Wigan's fatigue factor in the second half saved us from a fearful tonking and two of our own tries came from breakaways when Wigan had the ball. It's the same mistakes every week, poor handling and dumb penalties that cost us, seriously we must be the dumbest team ever to set foot on a rugby field.
I feel for Agar a bit with the lack of front row options available but putting Walshaw there was not the answer. Trout played much of his junior rugby there, he would have been a better bet. Very poor, I expected more this week, not necessarily a win but to see some cohesion between the halves and the backs. It didn't happen and it needs to pretty damn quick. In fact starting next week.
On the plus side Sammut looked dangerous with the ball in hand, on the minus Godinet didn't. McShane didn't have a good game at all and Wildie really needs to be on the bench to spell him. Oh and Richie Mathers, either grow a pair or do the decent thing and retire now.
Have Bradford any more we can have because I think we need them.

| Did we really have a front row issue or did Agar select not to play some forwards who had come up with 'knocks'. Bet we see all these players next just like the last few times we've played Wigan away

| Thought Ryan was either a prop/second row? Why didn't he start at prop with his experience there instead of Walshaw?
Needed our strongest possible pack to start and should have realised Wigan would throw everything at us first half. Never mind onwards to the big pack of Les Cats who are desperate for a win also.

Played majority of his games in the NRL at backrow. You'd think of his size he would be a prop but some imports who comes over are classed as utility forwards find out its alot tougher over here when played front row for ex. Mitch Achurch.

| Quote Adam_Harrison9="Adam_Harrison9"Just a question: what does Richie Mathers actually offer the team?'"
He is a decent attacking full back...unfortunately that is not the primary function of a full back as I don't need to tell any of you. Ask yourself the question, do you feel confident in your full back when a bomb goes up? Do you feel you have a great last ditch tackller..which is another thing you want fom a class full back? Does he pre-empt the trouble with vision? No to all. He is a wafer thin full back who joins the line well and attacks ok but offers you no reliability, your no.1 thing for a no.1...that said, if this relates to anything connected to today, I wasn't there so I can't comment on today, just his entire pevious perfomance since joining us.

| Quote TURFEDOUT="TURFEDOUT"I fear that is a question that only Mr Agar can answer.
Unfortunately it appears Mathers is one of the untouchables when it comes to team selection.
Mathers as discovered by numerous coaches is a very poor fullback.
But the team problems start and finish with the head coach and the board who saw fit to extend Agars contract last September.
The defensive and attacking structures seem non existant.
Discipline is poor.
Team selections are verging on the ridiculous.
His teams seem tactically naive.
Most coaches fall into one of two brackets, tactically aware or motivators,a few having both qualities, but Agar coached teams appear not to be tactically aware or motivated.
Irrespective of the quality of personnel we have,i fear for us this season, because Agar quite simply doesnt possess the attributes to turn that personnel into a decent team.
Ive no doubt it will be trotted out...................give him time,so the team can gel.We dont have time and even if we did that wont alter Agars lack of ability.
In a nutshell, many of us shook our heads in disbelief when he was appointed,he was gash then,he was gash when he was given a new contract and he will still be gash at the end of this season.'"
I totally agree though it gives me no pleasure at all to be witnessing another Wakefield massive error of judgement. The best investment we could have made during the break was to pay his last year off. I am utterly at a loss to see what on earth posessed the club to offer him another 3 years. 7 match winning run.. big deal. Another 50+ games of utter ineptitude, excuses, facial grimaces on sky sports games that drive me mad, platitudes about great team spirit...but disjointed, disorganised performances on the field that leave you feeling there is no real plan or hope..just the same old rubbish. I didn't go today. The result could have been worse I suppose but pretty poor all the same. 3 years is more than we can probably afford to rid ourselves of this blight on our hope. You idiots for giving him that contract is all I can say

| And we watched how Hull played against us in the year before we appointed him with our weakest team in seasons..and we still gave him a job!

3 games in...Richard Agar should have been sacked at the end of last season. The performances were largely abysmal last season. I'm sory, Stop signing players we probably can't affod and get rid of Agar. We will stand a better chance
