| Quote t-r-i-n-i-t-y="t-r-i-n-i-t-y"I don't think it's a matter of being 'bitter and twisted' but more a realistic look at things. People are too quick to criticise, that is true, but they are equally too quick to go over the top on praise.
'We' are quick to make legends out of the mediocre, and it's frustrating to those looking deeper than cheap beer and fixing floodlights (which we won't be using next season.)'"
I don't think praising hard work and good ideas is going over the top, it should be the norm, just pointing out that after the abyss we have been staring into recently and the general lack if inertia from ted's "running" of the club, that they are clear for all to see, very welcome and a step in the right direction.
For some that appears to be a bitter pill, and i find that to be poor form.

No, it's plain that some look at things from all the angle and apply reason. You simply look at things in whatever way suits your beat up a scapegoat mentality.
You are entitled to comment on Ted as he is the past, but to claim to know the future is much brighter backed up with very little evidence is plain daft.
So far AG has made all the right noises I don't dispute that. However that's all they are for now, none and I mean none of the core issues have yet been addressed, but then using rationale why would they be the timescale has been too short. So all we have for now is window dressing and I'm not knocking that but the truth is anyone with some spare cash and a debt free club could manage that.
I don't know how long you have supported the club but the Pearman fiasco should be warning enough not to get carried away. That is all I'm warning about, it's not taking the moral high ground or whatever glib label you want to throw at it, it's not my fault you can't accept an alternative train of thought - that's your problem.

| For gods sake Andrew Glover been here a month. What he's managed to do in such a short time above all else is bring the feel-good factor back, which for a team running last is no mean feat. By starting to sort the little things like putting bulbs in the floodlights, a lick of paint here and there, a more helpful & competent attitude in the shop etc, he has showed he is having a go of righting the wrongs of the previous regime. Yes they may only be little, inexpensive things but ones that make a big impression. They are things that could and should have already been done, financial issues or not. Ted may have done good in the past but by the time he left he had long since outstayed his welcome and his actions had become questionable. There is no doubt the damage he had done through the decisions he had made damn-near killed the club. AG has a mighty job to turn it round and it won't happen overnight but as starts go he couldn't have done much more. But yes it is also fair to say that the real job starts now and he will ultimately be judged in three years time when the next round of licensing takes place. Lets sit back and enjoy the ride.

Why don't you read what's posted instead of jumping to an OTT conclusion. No one as far as I can see is suggesting anything other than what you put.
However as another poster put it, give it six month, bottom of the league and no new signings it will be CARNAGE on here. Sadly those inflicting it will be the same people on here singing his praises right now - mark my words.
By being realistic and lowering some of the more OTT expectation should spare AG the worst of it. Unless AG can pull a rabbit out of the hat soon we will be NRL1 bound and then the problems really will start. I'll give him all the time in the world but plenty of others won't. Just like I have with Ted I'll stand by him and I won't blame him for everything if he fails but again plenty will. Sorry but that's how I see it.

100% right, the amount of posters who said this are countless, but under ted, all you ever heard was batman and robin speaking on his behalf in defence, claiming us underlings know nothing.
these are tiny things that are now being done right, if you dont have squillions in the bank, do the small cheep things right.
point proved, next!!!

1. Why are we in such a corner than only an act of magic can save us from being refused a franchise?
2. I hope you will, as i hope everyone will, the CARNAGE that we are currently picking our way through, will take time to clear up, hopefully we will all see enough along the way to see that there is something worth it at the end of the tunnel.

| If people on here aren't suggesting anything other than what I have put why is it an OTT conclusion?
AG has done a good job in the last month. Why shouldn't he get praise? If he makes a cock-up of things he will get criticised and rightly so. Such is life. But as it stands people need to get behind him and support his ideas not just sit waiting for him to fail so they can say nothings changed, i told you so. Lets be honest it has to be made to work this time because one more failure will probably be our last. And in six months time we will know whether we are getting a licence or not and probably have a decision on Newmarket, both factors that are out of AG's control to a large extent. So anybody that critises him should the decisions not go in our favour doesn't have a leg to stand on. He has said that the club is sustainable in the lower divsion, you've got to trust his judgment. Without him we wouldn't be here now, he deserves our total support, not just now but long term.

I suspect Wildthingy, you're not big on the sartorial aspect of the improvements that Mr Glover is attempting, eh?
