I’m going to Berlin for three nights with the wife, like a lively and varied nightlife any tips would be appreciated. I have ideas for the days but again any tips I will take with me, cheers. hopefully after a win over Cats

berlin wall? reinstag? brandenberg gate? not sure how you spell them but those seem to be the top things to go see?

It's a great city but be prepared to do a lot of walking.



The Brandenburg Gate is a must see as is the Reichstag (get to that early to avoid huge queues). Not sure if the cupola (glass dome) on the roof has reopened but that offers excellent views of the city. Potsdamer Platz is very good for restaurants, cafes and shops.



Berlin Zoo is very good and be sure to visit the East Side Gallery which is a portion of the Berlin Wall around 1km long which has been covered in paintings by artists. There are plenty of excellent museums if you fancy a bit of culture including the very sombre but fascinating Jewish Museum.



Also visit Checkpoint Charlie with its famous signs indicating the former US and USSR sectors. Be prepared for large crowds there though.



In general I found the nightlife to be quiet, although I was there midweek.

Would definitely recommend one of the walking tours around the city. You get to see a lot of the sites with very informative guides and also get to see some of the things you wouldn't normally if you were just walking on your own.



We did two when we where there - a city tour and the concentration camp (which I can't remember the name of). Can't recommend enough.

If your looking for a beer try Barbie Deinhoffs bar, mindblowing is an understatement LOLOLOL

Where are you flying from?

L**ds/Bradford was supposed to fly to a brand new airport but most unlike the germans it wont be finished on time.

You will enjoy the City I have been back twice since 1963/65 once was the Christmas Markets.There is many places to see.The biggest changes for me was the Wall taken down and I could touch the Brandenburg Gate and sit at the base.The walk to the gate you will see the Hotel were Micheal Jackson hung his baby over the balcony. Check Point Charlie is an other must Also go see the church Kaiser-Wilhelm-Gedachtinskirche the new and old Take the wife shopping along Kurfustenstrasse. Tiergarten and go up the Victory Column.You need more then 3 days Go up the Television

Tower on Alexanderplatz Now you will see what I mean more then 3 days but enjoy you will want to go back,Hope this helps have a great time
