Going to buy it this week. So you have to flick the pass right or left rather actually passing the ball?

Noticed one of the shops in St Stephens was selling rugby league 3 with a wii console etc on monday.Think it was £135.

Yeah. The nunchuck is used for directional play and power moves.



The main wii remote is used for tackling and kicking as well as passing. You flick left or right for a short pass and swing left or right for a cut-out pass. You can try passing with both hands if you want but it needs to start from a central point and only move in one direction otherwise you'll throw the pass the wrong way.



Graphics are a little slow and unmanoverable a little like RL1 and RL2. The game itself though is a laugh to play and the franchise mode brings an element of Madden to it. (without the great graphics or career mode unfortunately)

whats the nunchuck/wiimote combo, i do find the controlling of it weird when im on the main page and i want to go down you have to press the side buttons rather then just the down and up buttons, also when im on the game if i want to pass left you have to do it passing right very weird do anyone know how to change this if you can please

Mine's gone back!! Worst game i've actually ever bought. Shame as it had so much promise!!

There should be a backup option for manual controls on the wii remote as the motion controls are horrendous!! I know people are defending it but in a natural swing of the arm (to the left for example) your body will move your arm right first, and vice versa!! If it was £10 then maybe that's an excuse but this is £40!!!!! The guy in Gamestation said they'd had alot of people return the game as 'unwanted' and changed mine no questions asked!!

Poor game by a poor designer, i love my RL but i'll go without this time!!!

navigating the menu is done with the nuchuck analogue stick i think? As for the passing you should be moving them left to pass right, i know it can be a tad sensitive but i use the following



short pass left or right - flick wiimote left or right

long pass left or right - swing both wiimote and nunchuck left or right

High kick A button and flick wiimote upwards

Grubber kick B button and flick wiimote down

Drop goal A+B and flick wiimote up

Chip over the top - quick press of B button

Spint C button (On nunchuck)

Change player Z button (Nunchuck)

Hand off C and forward on nunchuck

Sidestep C and left/right on nunchuck



remember when ready to kick or defend kick press the - button on the wiimote to move into kick mode.

Also setting defense you press the D-Pad left/right/up/down to move them left/right in close to the ptb or spread out.

Got it yesterday, decent game apart from a few bugs like Tommy Lee & Thorman being outstanding players







Got a couple of gamecube style controllers too for £6 a piece, make it a bit easier to control but didnt really have too much problem with the Wiimotes anyway

its a pity ea sports dont have a go at doing a rugby league game especially on xbox and ps3 would be wicked
