Disappointed wth the standard from both teams really. Had been looking forward to this game as being entertaining even if we lost, but ended up with an attritional scrappy loss. Meh.

Forwards played well. Backs apart from Horne and Yeaman were poor

Buckled under pressure from Brown and Robinson after the legal Yeaman hit. If Grix had got up and walked away, it wouldn't have been a penalty. But yeah he was pretty good I thought.

The intensity in some of our defence was huge, some massive tackles put in today for the full 80.

Horne played well at FB, but we looked clueless in the halves without him. However, thought Turner made a difference when he came on at 6, Westy was very quiet.

Tongan mafia were all good today IMO and defensively we were pretty good at clamping the ball. The tery of our backs and inferior kicking game plus rubbish handling did for us.

Hame was better, but still I wish he would just go in harder rather then doing a few steps before hitting the inevitable tackle. He makes most impact this way.



If we were more patient and respected the ball better we could have won the game.

a positive from today is that jamie ellis has scored an hat trick before the half time hooter, hopefully we will get him signed up

Good to see 3 quality halves playing at the KC for once, unfortunatly they were all playing for the Giants.

It's pretty positive that we were rubbish today and could still have nicked it with 10 minutes to go.
