Don't think that's got anything to do with it TBH. He's always had issues with his defence - people just tend to overlook his faults because of his strengths.

Improved on the right but easily caught out on the left on Friday.

Which is most unusual for our left hand side.

Which is what concerns me. You could have fitted an ocean liner between Briscoe and the touch line. Hope it was a one off, but compressing the defensive line like that is an invitation to kick us to death

Can't be a one off when he did exactly the same for Warringtons equalising try.

| during the second half, after moving from the morons, in front of us was one of the press photgraphers with the large telescopic lenses and on one shot he allowed us to see was briscoe clearly grounding the ball from a kick through that was waved away for a drop out!

| Quote fc baldy="fc baldy"Seen the trys from the Salford match and Looking at them,Briscoe was caught out for the 1st and 2nd try by being way too far infiels for me.Now if this was Ssarpe,he would be getting hung, drawn and quartered and by me as i dont rate him but Briscoe does deserve some critisim or is he bullet proof?'"
Said a few times and, indeed the last time I did was on Friday at Salford after that try, that Briscoe is often out of position in defence.
I also think he was one of the ones who was most "indignant" at Agar's leaving. I remember reading a particularly telling interview in the Mail at the time. Understandable, I suppose, as Agar was primarily responsible for the discovery of the Briscoes. But not sure if any resentment still lingers - he's a silly boy if so.

They are from his home town Featherstone, Agar watched all the Briscoe boys in action when they played for Fev...we were there a few weeks ago and the coaches were telling us, all good friends.

| Don't think anything to do with Agar , he has started slow like last season and gets caught out a bit with his positioning .

| I wonder if Briscoe is carrying an injury? He's certainly been off-form so far. Having said that, our 3/4 line has probably been the most disappointing part of our game - no tries from Martin / Sharp, and Briscoe way off his best.

Certainly looked like they didn't know how to get over the line once they were near it on Friday. Lots of unforgiveable errors within 10 yards of the tryline. They seemed to be panicking a bit, I thought.
