Depends on how far the process is i suppose????

There is two different types of 'quota' non fed trained and quota. Originally Manu counted on the non fed trained list but not the quota, but because he was here prior to 2008 he was taken off the non fed list. Obst counted on both list but same as Manu he was taken off the non fed list because he was here prior to 2008 but he still remained on the quota list. If Obst was to become a British citizen then he would come off the quota list.

Good luck to all the players who are moving on, especially Washy and Dowes, who I believe always gave 100%.



The best thing about all this for me is, AP realises we need a stronger squad, not just strong starting 17.

We all know we can't have squad of 25 world beaters, but we do require players who can come in and do a better job then just filling a gap. You only have to look at our bench yesterday, compared to a not great Leeds team, it didn't fill you with any hope of any impact from it (tho fair play to Sharp, who I think did well).

It seems that we (hopefully) may be about to do something about it.

Manu is off the quota because he is Tongan, not because of residency.

They're both of the non-fed list for being in SL before the ruling came in in 2008.

Confirmed out - Long, Fitzgibbon, Washbrook, Phelps, Dowes, Lauaki

Potentially out - Gleeson, Obst, Burnett, Kent



That's 10 players there. Two of them not used this season, so just to be replaced by academy graduates so no big loss to the first team. But there's eight others and only five in (six if we get Lynch). Definitely need two more signings! One definitely being a centre. I'd be tempted to go with a proven winger as well. Could do with another forward as well. If Moa, O'Meley, O'Carroll and Lynch are our 4 props, and Manu, Tickle and Westerman are our back row, then we've only got Radford as a backup to both, and Whiting as another backup back row. Unless we're finally gonna try out a youngster...?

Or one of McKinnon or Seymour not comming.

There will only be long, fitz and probably lauaki in those who were on a decent whack. With 3 x decent overseas players and lynch (hopefully) coming in, I can't see there being much cap space left unless we move some more out
