I can only assume was very drunk run in front of my car and then try to 'catch' a moving car going the other way. I saw the police run to stop him and understandably so.



It's a shame adults need policing how to behave on a road but some obviously did last night!

I noticed the police around before going into the stadium and wondered at it because except when Warrington visited, we haven't really seen a police presence to speak of. Thought that was a bit OTT.



As for the lectures about swearing and stuff - it's ridiculous. We've been hounded endlessly every match via the tannoy for that and usually it leads to us in the East Stand (in our mature fashion) singing something with a swear word in it. Normally that is our 'Widnes is a hole' song.

FC Voices have written a letter on behalf of fans who contacted us regarding problems at the Challenge Cup Game. As our last meeting of 4th June we hadn't received a response.

The group we were with got told off about 5 times for all sorts of trivial things. It was the sane in the cup game, and completely unnecessary.

To be honest we never had any problems last night with the stewards or the police. I guess we have the knack of staying out of the way

Dont think too many widnes fans will be going to hull next year either..ive been many away games in superleague and championship and hull fans were by far the worst! Unprovoked attacks on our coaches..rocks thrown at people..fans ganging up on our fans..horrible people! I know there are decent fans too but my memories of hull are not good! Ok your ground is great but hull itself is a big hole!

I did'nt go last night mainly due to work commitments , but to be honest would have been a bit reluctant to have gone based on experience of challenge cup game,

I thought the police presence and over the top stewarding was a bit much on that day myself ! (can't remember last time I'd seen a police escort after a rugby match) ???

If you read the op the thread is not about how the fans behaved. Its about the way the stewards were with a player trying to get to someone in the stand. The op actually praises BOTH sets of fans.



Most of the complaints FC Voices received were about the stewards attitude to normal, decent, law abiding supporters, (as are the majority of RL Fans). When asked about their attitude the comments from stewards were absolutely disgusting from "because everyone in Hull is a thug" to "are you all this ugly in Hull" which on the surface may sound funny to you but coming from people who are employed by a professional rugby club is disgraceful.

I noticed the police presence was a bit more evident than it normally is last night. The wife mentioned as we walked to the game the number of cops with cameras and asked a young PC, jokingly with a smile if they were expecting trouble? She got a right sharp and unfriendly answer, so she produced her WC and gave him a quick bollocking. The lads face was a picture, he followed up with stuttered, sheepish and most apologetic reply.

Shut up you tart. The thread isn't even about fans behaviour. If you don't want to come then please feel free to stay at home, but stop making stuff up as an excuse.

Well i've been to the Stobart stadium twice and both times it has been terrible...... THE worst matchday experience of anywhere i've visited..... It's not even a very good ground!!

Feel free to not come next season, you won't be missed. Just like Widnes haven't been missed from top level RL either!!



By the way, I don't generally go to away games to meet opposition fans, i go to support my team which i guess is why FC have a reputation of taking a large number of supporters to EVERY game... Lets see how Widnes 'supporters' travel next season!!!
