If you finish 4th and beat Wigan you get a week off. You'd then have a home play-off to reach the GF, which could be against anybody.

I believe not. Leeds had the choice of Catalans or Wigan last year, I believe. There was some talk on these boards that they might prefer Saints at home rather than at OT, but I don't think it was an option.

It would create a lot of problems if they could, but i hadn't read anywhere that they couldn't, which is why i asked.

The team that gets the pick (highest ranked winner from wk1), can only pick from the winners of wk2, so this means that if we happen to beat Wigan away in the 1st match we can't get picked in wk3.

Thats what i said/implied,meaning winner of sts-warr wouldnt be likely to pick wigan out of winning teams leaving us the left overs i.e WIGAN...again!
