A bit harsh that.I think he has filled in pretty well and has done everything asked of him.Still young and raw but a star in the making.

Wouldn't go as far as saying he was poor but was much quiter last night and didn't really have much influence on the game.

Yup. When you look at the last few years and look how poor we were when Dykes and Head were injured we were clueless. (last year we were clueless with our first choice 7 fit)

Its a luxury to finally have thought process in more than one head on the park, even Horne appears to be looking up and around again which is nice to see!!

He is a young lad stepping into a tough position to play. Nothing spectacular last night and a couple of dropped balls but he certainly got some air on his kicks. Expect him to miss out if Long returns but he will improve with time.

Also thought he had a quieter game...some of his passing from base of scrum was terrible and took a lot of wrong options..........wont be able to dislodge centre pairing and should be behind Whiting.

horney said after the game in his mom interview that the team had been training all season with different combinations to cope with any injuries to him and long,smart move eh it certainly seems to of paid off,turner done a good job filling in while longy been out,but it will be great to have him back for the wigan game,said he cant wait to get back into it,also said he wanted to play last night but pope put a stop to that

seems sensible that he would not be risked against Cas but in a potential top of the table deciding match he will play if fit i am sure of it, knowing the manner of the man i can see him having a blinder against Wigan!! after lay offs he used to come back with a bang I recall...

However despite recent perofrmances some on here would have you believe that turner is useless so i guess were doomed if long isnt fit huh

Who said useless........just thought he had a indifferent game......some good touches and looks strong put his passing wasnt sharp and was low down from base of scrum and took a few wrong options...the inside pass to Manu near the end...pass didnt need to be made...he could have used him as the decoy....im sure his time will come but dont know where in the team...a long term replacement for Fitz......he may offer more than Washbrook?

Just my luck. Thought I was on for free money when a Rovers fan bet me that Long wouldn't even play 10 games this season. I'm starting to think I could lose this bet.
