I'll give you York as better (not for everything though). Didn't realise how far away it was. So I'll change the radius to 38 miles. Basically you're looking 45 minutes driving before you get somewhere of note. Beverley isn't one if them. |

I was going to question Beverley too. Nice place to live (some areas) but there are no cinema's, theatre's, no real shopping attractions, the nightlife is full of squaddies etc. |

Hull has a some very decent shopping attractions when compared to Beverley which basically has a High Street.
Hull also has a lot more to than Beverley regarding Nightlife...various cinemas, a lot more restaurants in various areas to choose from, ice-arena, various bowling alleys, various nightclubs,several drinking areas, City Centre-Cottingham-Hessle- Princess Avenue- Newland Avenue.
The Deep, several museums, 2 SL rugby clubs, a championship football club, numerous sports centres offering a variety of sports, a university.
A lot more choice in the areas and houses. |

Nah, it's the usual story where you come out with some bull, ('Beverley is better than Hull for everything', for example) people pull you up on it and then you try and deflect from your original point (see the quote above).
Nobody has blindly defended Hull, or even claimed it's better than other cities, they're pulling you up on the Beverley comment - plonker. |
