Never thought Cats would be easy with a lot of big guns back and we did well to keep them to one try. Our top 2 forwards were out so our forwards could not dominate theirs. Lauaki continues to disappoint me but he had a much better 2nd half. Whatever our shortcomings you cannot fault our effort. This was a game we would definitely have lost the last 2 seasons. Big blow losing Longy but we must regroup and get on with it.

That's how a league works. Currently we are the 4th best team in the league using the only definition that matters - our position, determined by the number of points we have relative to the other teams. You can make up some other more subjective form of measurement if you like, but unless you convince the RFL to adopt it I don't really see the point.
I don't expect us to finish in 4th, particularly with the injury to long, but all this downplaying of our current position is - IMO - both laughable and somewhat pathetic. |

Quite. 10 other clubs would happily swap positions with you at the minute and (on the whole) their fans dont moan half as much as you lot! |

We've played half of the rest of the league twice and played the other half once. I guess it's the same for most other clubs.
To suggest the league table isn't a true reflection of how strong teams are until the season is over is just bollox.
The table usually takes shape after about half a dozen games. Very rarely will a team either collapse and plummet down the table or suddenly go on a long run and shoot up it. Take us, for example, we've been between 4th and 6th since round six back in March. |
