| Think people are been harsh on Briscoe tbh. The first one he had to come in and the 2nd was just well worked by Salford. Didn't like the way Radford went at Briscoe for the 1st try, if he needed to tell him something that was way OTT and Briscoe didn't look to impressed.
Also the " not bothered " comment is stupid.

I think your probably right, try/game saving tackles like the one he did on Fox tend to stick in fans minds more than his more regular defensive errors. I actually think he would develop even further though with a who served him more because he certainly has strength and speed to find the line more than he does.

| Briscoe has been outplayed by Sharp all season, he needs to buck his ideas up, maybe he is believing they hype too much? That said they first try wasn't his fault but he shouldn't have got involved in the 2nd.

| The undertone of this thread seems to stem from people putting 2 and 2 together and coming up with 5 regarding him potentially leaving due to the Luke Briscoe fiasco and looking for faults with his game so they can claim he has major flaws in his game should he leave.
Lets ignore the finish for his try which very few other players in the league would have been able to finish, simply because its something we expect him to do.

Not doing any of that and I hope he stays for life but right now he is around 60% of his normal standard from what I have seen. He is still making the same mistakes, like for their second try. He is blessed with natural talent but has very little game sense.

| I've said in the past that Briscoe is niave in his positioning, he's obviously still getting caught out quite often. Clearly didn't take anything from Calderwood when he was at FC who was shouting at him in one game I seem to remember.
I hope PG is showing him vids of his performances and telling him where he is going wrong

With all due respect - nonsense. Feel free to check my posting history on Briscoe if you like. I think he's a special player with a great future ahead of him wherever he plays, but that doesn't mean he doesn't have areas of his game that could use some work. Defensive positioning is one of them.

| I guess the good thing is that if he carries on playing like he is then he won't be going anywhere. Personally I haven't seen the vacancies for english wingers in the NRL. If there are any at the moment then I guess Briscoe would be behind Hall , Charnley , McGilvery , and one or two others. I bet you could find at least half a dozen young Aussie wingers with all of the attributes needed for ESL in the Toyota Cup who probably can't get a game with an NRL first team squad. He needs to improve his all round game and his concentration before he has any chance of becoming the superstar some think he already is.

| Briscoe is quality, but he's only 21 and still learning. He is by far from the finished article, which is why I think he such an exciting player. I said myself he was at fault at times on Friday, he often had been caught out of position, but let's hope an actual coach can see to this as the season goes on.

This.
Yeamo is a centre in the Senior mold, often preferring to back himself through strength, as opposed to sending his winger away

As we saw on Friday. It wasn't completely clear how open the support players were from my view behind the sticks but Yeamo did have support on a break yet kept the ball and ran into the tackler.
