There was no shout by the referee to any Hull player telling them they were offside just the whistle after the ball was dropped. Top 4 refereeing.'"
Have to agree, that one was an awful call. |

after hearing what gwyllum llyod, murdoch and pinkney said to us in the services at heartshead moor regarding the thaler/hudgell incident i would beg to differ! any other sport or job thaler would've and should've been sacked! |

Yep, even Leeds. We had some calls go our way (disallowed Ablett Try, nothing wrong with it). Yes, they threw their usual amount of forward passes,especially for McGuires first try but as I said at the start of the thread we need two refs to try and combat this. |

I am not sure 2 refs will actually help towards solving the problem tbh, we definitely need investment but I think we would be better fixed investing in training more refs to SL standard, I actually think they are not as accountable as they should be as we simply do not have the numbers to drop under-performing refs. I try not to get involved in ref bashing however this season has been particularly poor and very inconsistent and like many I now actually get slightly worried when certain refs are allocated our games. |

It is a worry but the 2nd ref can watch for forward passes and messing about at the play the ball whilst the other gets the defending team back 10. It should at least be trialed.

I hear what you are saying but we already have 2 touch judges who get paid to do that, tbh that is also one of the major problems the touch judges are next to useless and I have even witnessed refs over-ruling them! The investment needs to sort these things out, at the moment we are struggling for 1 decent ref so 2 would be a big ask, investment needs to come in the form of training and bringing new blood through, there has to be accountability and like mentioned without more refs little can be done as the games need covering. |
