From a neutral point of view, I'd say you have a good chance.
Wigan are not unbeatable, and you defence in the CC was a cup winning defence in my opinion.
Keeping Holdsworth fit will be key.
I'll be there cheering Hull anyway as a Yorkshire lad.

Some (Garry Scohfield) didn't think we'd beat Wakey. We have yet to be given any chance apart from against the Crusaders. Its just the way we like it.
I saw a tweet yesterday saying Wigan would win easy as neither Wire or Hull want to win it. Pathetic statement for a start, but one I saw time and again after our win in France and Wires demolition of Huddersfield.
Bottom line is that its all on the day. I have seen enough of Hull on this cup run to suggest that the squad are as determined to win as any squad we have seen in the past, if not more so. Immortality awaits all 17 if they win at Wembley, regardless of how big a "star" they are. Look at Tommy Saxton who would have thought he'd be a FC hero? He got his chance in 05. It was the peak of his career but boy what a peak.
Everyone of this squad is capable and I for one feel this may just be the year we do it. (but I have said that before 80, 82, 83, 85..... didn't expect 08 in all honesty)  |
