Played RU against a Barton team containing ex-Rover, Paul Vannett (sp?). He was a loving idiot. Most enjoyable moment was him losing his rag after being marmalised in an excellent tackle by our smallest player. The moral of the story is that technique beats ego every time !

Bob Burrow ran in 5 against our school.

Played with Rovers 'legend' Paul Fletcher

, Rich Gay , Gary 'chatty' Chatfield , Paul Hunter , Paddy Khan and the late Tim 'Saggy' Sage. And against the mighty atom Mike Dixon and Chico Jackson who throw me into touch like a ragdoll while playing for Syd Smith v Greatfield (I think)..

Never played against anyone but I did knock around with Gary Schoefield at Leeds College of Building.



Also visited his parents and been fed and watered. He also took me training with his old team Hunslet Parkside.

Oh hell, i forgot about Tony..add me to the list of yes's now

K Tindall He turned me inside out I hung my boots up after that .He was a great lad I work with him at Preistmans

on Hedon Road. We were out numbered by red and whites .Salford offered him a good deal to sign for them

But he always wanted to play for Hull FC and thank god he did

At various times I played with lee jackson, lee richardson, tony sullivan, richard gay, rob nolan, craig o'brien (played for rovers), and probably a couple more I've forgotten. Also had chico (although anyone who knows him will know his nickname was actually Jeeko) on the wing when I was at greatfield but he was playing a year or 2 over his age at the time

In the late 70`s early 80`s whilst I was in my early twenties there was loads of ex pro`s playing worksport league rugby in and around Hull. Right hard ba**ards everyone of them. Used to come off and you would literally ache all week after being hit by any of them. They never lost it. In the 80`s I played against the `All Hull Allstars`, what a team, talk about being overawed. They just oozed class even in their late years. Alan Burwell was the fastest on the pitch at his age of 50 plus.

Anyone ever play against anyonw who was on the pitch at half time in the derby
