In answer I say no but when I arrived in Melbourne 8.5 years ago I went to see England play at the MCG v Aussies in a One Day match.

I messaged a friend to say I was walking on my own to the MCG and 'crashed' into a Gay Parade.

He messaged back saying I was in a Gay parade and stumbled upon the cricket.



Talk about commitment - who else has to get up at 5am to watch FC play ?

Didn't come for the 2013 loss but was there for the others plus 1959 and 1960 when I was in England. Before I also shuffle off I would like to see 1 win at Old Trafford. First time I saw Hull become champions was back in the 50's in Manchester at the Blues ground.

I will be up at 4-30 am when the TV transmission begins. This evening I am going to Penrith to watch the Panthers v Manly match as a pipe opener for the KCom match. Probably get about 4 hours sleep tonight which is enough at my age!

Then we have a similar history Freddie. I was at all of those matches as a teenager and the memories don't leave you (especially the heartbreaking Wigan and Wakey defeats).

I've relented and decided to go. I just hope the team turns up tonight. I'd feel better if ellis were playing but hoping we can get the win

I am glad I have to work but knowing our lot they will make it a game that I wished I had gone to.

it's not the people who have to pay there hard earned money and make an effort to go to the match , it's the ones who have to get up at 5am in their beach house who I feel sorry for.
