Hull City now have to rely on parachute payments. They could lose £30 or £40 million next season. They have the deferred transfer fees to pay, the players' wages, the possible losses from Livermore's 2 year ban, if he's found guilty of taking coke, pay the non playing staff, rent for the Kc etc. There are rumours about a substantial drop in season ticket sales as well.
According to Assem Allam they are spending £2 million a year on the academy. The half a million from the Premier League they get from Category 2 status is now a substantial amount given the drop in income.
The Council can put a stop on Hull City getting that money. Phil Webster said they will by taking legal action. I have my doubts. I don't think they have the bottle. Also Assem Allam donates money to the Labour Party. |

Ask Phil Webster. There is no reason why the council shouldn't have started legal proceedings to reclaim the Airco Arena for the people of Hull. Its not like Assem Allam will agree with them and take out the 3g pitch. |

If anyone seriously believes that Allam throwing a few £k at the national party would have any effect on the decisions of a majority Labour controlled council, then they're away with the fairies.
The unions donate £millions each year and I can't remember the last time Labour introduced pro-union legslation.
