It's entirely possible, of course, that Barmby has invested in FC without taking a shareholding. See Assem Allam at Rovers, and to some extent Rob Crossland who reportedly puts a lot of money in but has a very small shareholding. Investment and shareholding aren't necessarily the same thing. FC won't be paying out dividends any time soon anyway due to cumulative losses.

Allam is definitely not involved with Pearson so far as Hull FC is concerned.



However I woudn't rule out Pearson selling the club to Allam at some time in the future, for a tidy profit of course. When Pearson comes to sell, which he will, Allam's money will be as good as anyone else's.

Possible I guess, but if he's already heavily invested in Hull KR, would he be allowed RFL-wise to do the same at Hull FC? Might be alright - think Lenegan is involved in Harlequins as well as Wigan? Allam's already on the record as wanting a merger, of course.

allam hasn't invested anything in hull kr. he's given them some kind of loan and is seemingly gifting £2m to some kind of spurious community development.

He's given them £1m+ and must realise that the chances of getting it back with their losses of hundreds of thousands over the last few years and delay after delay on ground developments is remote.

It's not an investment in any sense that the rfl would question him buying us

He has no chance of getting it back; he's buying friends and favours.
