Again where does this come from, are you insane? You constantly make reference to this and it is completely rubbish. It's nothing to do with Expro/Icecreamman or anyone else on here.
I know the board have relaionship with him and he was sounded out before Agar got the job.'"
Didn't Hull favour Peter Sharp over McNamara though ?

The thing is (and I will get stick because I know nothing about the game) we did not play the '5 drive and a kick game' which is what people on this forum go on about all the time -hating it - We passed it from 1 side to the other in an attempt to be 'expantionist' - It was like they pass it about in training .Willie Manu was Magnificant - not a word you can use very often these days as far a my beloved team are concerned. The majority apart from odd moments - ordinary, ordinary ordinary. I dont know who invented the word but it was a Knockonathon

No, Noble tipped Macnamara the wink that he was off to Wigan so to hang about at Bradford.

McNamara was never even in the running for the Hull job at the time, that is a factual according to the man himself

Are you sure it was 'expansionist' and not just 'moving sideways'?

Why because of the 11k at the game tongiht a handful on here disagree with me, my god you get worse I spoke to plenty of people and plenty said Long did okay and was not the problem.
What was the difference between last week and this - the players not being up for the game and thinking they could turn up and win - nothing to do with Long playing. It was a tough call to make but i'd have made the same decision and so would others.
I saw you briefly and would not be able to tell from that.

I heard there was only two applicants for the post at Hull after Kear got sacked . Sharp was one and Macca was the other.

Don't think Macca applied. Hull spoke to him though tentatively.

| Quote berrigans bitch="berrigans bitch" the problem is not the players it is the coach.'"
I've been away for a while, but it appears you've had a dramatic change of opinion. Only 6 months ago you said you were convinced Agar would lead us to silverware. I'm guessing your prediction of finishing 3rd this year has gone for a burton as well.
Without wishing to say "I told you so", there was a number of us on here who throughout last year remained steadfast in our opinion that the continued employment of Richard Agar as coach was leading this great club straight down a blind alley. We were shouted down last season by various Agar apologists (not just Mrs Berrigan who at least wears her heart on her sleeve) who endlessly pointed to "top 4 spot blah blah, improved league position blah blah" whilst remaining oblivious to the obvious that was staring them right in front of their faces.
I have posted on this board throughout Agar's tenure, always of the opinion that he was totally unsuited to the position of head coach at a club which should be aiming for the stars. I have always said that if my opinions were proved to be wrong and Richard Agar did indeed take us to the summit of the game then I would be prepared to take any brickbats that came my way. Reading this board tonight I feel my views are now vindicated along with various other posters who have long expressed doubts about our coach (Jake, Hullbg, Bones). I honestly and truly would have much preffered to have been proved wrong and to witness a Hull Fc side coached by Richard Agar doing a lap of honour around Wembley or Old Trafford, but I think we all know tonight it just simply isn't going to happen. Surely there can be no-one left willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. Not even Staffs FC.

According to Steve he never applied as he knew he had the job at Bulls, also he is very happy doing what he is doing now and I doubt very much he would go back to SL
