| Thought he looked a bit of a pudding last season tbh but then again so did all the team. Hopefully in a better environment we'll see a better side of him this season

Think it was Cas at home when Eseh had a really good game off the bench, got recalled by Wigan after that I believe. He was by far the best out of the 3 young loan forwards we had last season.

| Adds a bit of size and competition for places I guess , Been around a few clubs and still only 21 but Peet must have seen some potential in him so see how he goes with us for the season .

I don't mid Eseh and glad it is for the year, gives us the chance to have a look at him and could be long term signing and replacement for Sao.Would have been even better if we had got him and used the quota spot on another position.Still concerns me that we will now have 6 props for the Leigh game and one backrower.Feel like Knight isn't needed, but him signing might be more to do with the quality available rather than position.Worries me the coaching staff keep playing Fash in the backrow.

| Our back row and outside backs used to be amazing when you think about it and how we completely underperformed with that team under radford

In fairness Josh Jones was a GB International and Grand Finalist when he signed so was a coup. It just didn't work out. And with the benefit of hindsight maybe his 'long COVID car sickness' was an early sign of his brain problems he sadly has now. We will never know

Worth signing until the end of the season, cancelling the Knight deal and using the quota spot on a second rower/ centre?

In an ideal world we could have signed Eseh and Watts to bolster our front row and used the quota spot on either a second row or a centre.

Each time he left a club he had issues with the coach at the time. Personally rather go with Knight and Eseh, if they go well then maybe look to tie them down long term. Whereas with Watts would we get more than a year out of him at this stage of his career?

Can see the appeal as we still need size up front. But he's not what he was. I'd pass.Wonder if Cartwright has seen enough of our depth options in thr middle already. Knight, Eseh and potentially Watts in a week

Definitely a no for Watts. Left under a cloud, don’t go back. Finally getting rid of the Radford deadwood, don’t need anymore back.

Never go back as they say. Watts is a shadow of the player that left us and his fitness from the watching Cas’ last 3 games looks very questionable. Had we used the quota spot to sign a quality back rower, I may have been swayed or at least understand some logic in entertaining the possibility of Watts in the interim but with Knight along Eseh on loan don’t see any reason to even contemplate Watts.

| As others have mentioned I would be against Watts coming until the end of the year, if we didn't sign Knight and could use that quota spot for a backrower or centre. Unless the plan is to play Fash and Watts in the backrow.

Sorry to be in the minority but I'd take Watts until the end of the season. If he's agreed a release with Cas then there may have been a pay off of some kind involved, in which case we may be able to pick him up a bit cheaper. Also taking him for the rest of the year doesn't guarantee that he's a starter every week. I'd gladly take him, and let him know at the point of negotiating a deal, that he may sit in the reserves most of the season, but I'd rather if injuries bite we had the option to put him in rather than Fash or Gardiner.Fully understand everybody's reasons for not wanting him and I do agree to a point. He can be disruptive, fitness might be questionable and he's not getting any younger. But now we have Eseh and Knight (supposedly) we arguably have time to let him get fit over the next month or so. If we could get him on a cheap wage and to act more of a back up than regular starter, then I wouldn't be against it.

| I'd take Watts to the end of the season what is there to lose? It was a stupid decision to sell him with no replacement in the first place. The sale was about the turning point in our fortunes.

Didn't make sense to me to be signing three props in the space of a week when we are desperate for a SR/Centre. Don't doubt Watts would've been a steady signing for rest of year but rather the cap space be used elsewhere.

| I think to say never go back is just a cliche. I don’t think you can have too many props. Clearly Watts has opinions that doesn’t make him a bad acquisition. He has experience. If he’s not fit that’s a reversible condition. I guess there’s salary cap issues and a need for back rowers, centres so these decisions are never easy. Given our propensity if u pardon the pun for injuries I’d have him if he’d come and Cartwright will sort him

The sale was about the turning point in our fortunes. Yeah we effectively replaced him with Masi Matongo. Despite Liam's poor discliplinary record it was a really bad move in retrospect. That said it was seven years ago... not sure that Watts is the answer any more. Missed pretty much one in three games in the last three seasons.
