I'm old enough to remember and my recollections were that, he turned an Hull side, full of average players,into a TEAM, who would die for each over,a Team that pushed well above it's weight.



It was a pleasure to go watch his sides,because you knew, whatever the score,his sides would give 110%.

Can we afford to get Smith out of his contract? He must be commanding megabucks at the moment.

How many games did he coach us, why did he leave, how much did he spend?

I would appoint Smith, as a Coaching Director, bring in someone for him to mentor.

A Coach doesnt bankrupt a club, the Chairman/Board of Directors is responsible for the financial affairs of a club.
