The photo clearly shows them starting to be taken down [utoday[/u yet Featherstone some how managed to pick them up last Saturday. Now I'm not the most intelligent person but I know that aint possible.

Just to be pedantic

The obvious question is for Sunday games. If this Sunday, it rains heavily as forecast, and it gets dark, what will Rovers do? Normally floodlights go on to improve the viewing and player safety. Are they planning to have temporary lights in place for this??

Here's a question, don't know if it's true or not. I was told that if a game needs floodlights at any time during the game they have to be switched on before the game starts. So with the sunset on 23rd July being 9.20 then the floodlight must go on for the game. With the game kicking off at 8 it won't finish until around 9.45

We are using Skys own portable floodlights as we did in 2007.

What about none televised games?

For a TV game, it is normal to have the lights on from before the Live Broadcast goes out; for a non-tv game they can be switched on at the request of the Ref, Match Commissioner or Ground Safety Officer at any stage.



In inclement weather, it is normal for lights to be on before the game starts.



A degree of common sense is applied when requesting them on as they are typically expensive to run and operate.
