OK it wasn't perhaps the strongest rumour that appeared last year, but, (mainly because of Martin's own tweets or Facebook or whatever?) there was a bit of a head of steam that he might be joining us on trial in January?



Anybody know if this might still happen of is it a dead duck?



On a related theme, then does that mean we have indeed recruited all we are going to for 2015? I can see the logic of getting our recruitment done early and integrating the new players into the squad, but its always exciting to have a surprise package!

I have heard a prop from a good source.

I can say it now as in the Sun Newspaper now. A few days ago I was told Gil Dudson has signed and seeing in the Newspaper confirms it.

I don't know how many forwards we need,a pacey centre would be nice.

Dudson would be a good signing for us if true, still has some development in him and would add a bit of size to our front row. Very much the sort of player Denis likes to have. The Dudson link has been around for quite a while and I have got to say I am a bit surprised with Flower out for a while and Pettybourne leaving I am a bit surprised at Wigan letting him go although they have got Mossop back.



That would suggest that we wont be bothering with Martin, who was always a bit of a long shot, with a very steep fitness curve to get him back up to speed for superleague level

I like Dudson and was keen to get him when Crusaders packed in, I just hope it doesn't affect the development of Chapelhow in the 19s breaking through.



We needed one or two more bodies as we actually lost 6 players last year and have only brought in 3, so it makes sense.
