As much as legend Kurt is, and always will be in Widnes, he doesn't know the game or the players enough at our level to be our next head coach.

he would be a great motivation for our younger players though

seeing there hero from their childhood could have a great impact

however the chances of him getting the job are probably very small as he is happy in australia and owns a bar over there

Coached at Whitehaven and did a pretty decent job for us , left for Town and was probably worst move he ever made.Never coached since i dont think

So was he a better coach than ste mac whitehaven fan?Ste mac tactics are up the middle.Dont get me wrong we need some big forwards to get the yards.One big prop would sort our team but needs be a leafa type of player.

couldnt compare really ,Steve inherited a side that was slowly being put together by Paul Cullen, He had some very strong foundations with the the 3 Kiwis Lester,Joe and Fats and likes of Seeds who were there.But he also brought in people like Sam Obst and Mick Nanyn and we had an excellent squad.

Sorenson came when the club was having a poor period about 93 ? and the directors wanted a higher profile coach.He was player coach and wasnt here to long but achived some very good results like beating top of the table sides Keighley and Workington. Good old Cougar Mania remember that , tough side to beat then!

Who knows how good he would have been or what he may ahve achieved, as he left to take charge of Town who had just won promotion....think he only coached handfull games for them before he was sacked for poor start.
