| I would like to see Spav in the halves if cooke rests himself.
He has an excellent kicking game when he's on form and he may relish the game against Leigh.

| I see this as a pivotal game. If we can beat Leigh, we can seriously aim to finish in second place.
If we lose, it'll be hard to catch both Featherstone and Halifax.
I reckon PC will want to field the best side possible and not rest anyone.
If Jacob Miller plays, it may be because PC feels that his experience is needed against a class side like Leigh. The guy is a talented player who seems to be down on confidence at the moment. If PC thinks he's the man for the job on the day, then we should get behind Miller and give him our support.

| So you think Spaven is not good enough then, and thats the message he will get if Miller plays in his place.

| Miller is poor - sorry but I have zero interest in going to watch him.
He was a major factor in why we didn't get anything from the Rams game.
If Cookes injured so be it, but then play Spav at 6 use Kes / Emmet at hooker, Snitch at LF.

| Well if Cooke doesn't play, I don't think we have the nous to crack Leigh.
But if he is injured then it's up to him.

I never said that Scott Spaven isn't good enough.
If Jacob Miller is coming on Sunday, which it looks as though he is according to the official Hull website, I was assuming either Cooke or Wilkinson wouldn't be playing. Scott Spaven hasn't played in the halves for a while now. It never actually entered my head that Spaven would make way for Miller.
We probably need a one-legged Paul Cooke to guide us round the park on Sunday because without him I fear our chances are probably very slim indeed, regardless of how the squad is shuffled.
The point I am making is that we must trust Paul Cooke to make the right decisions and if he thinks Miller is the right choice (for whatever reason) we must back him - not give the lad a tough time.

I wish I could but I find it hard to believe that Paul Cooke is picking this kid willingly

| I wanted to respond to Double Movement's comments on Jacob Miller. Jacob Miller is not talented. He is another third rate Aussie who has been brought over to Super League. He won't be at Hull next year because two British half backs have been signed. One I think is massively over rated and the other a real emerging talent.
If Miller plays I will be VERY VERY unhappy.

The club should offer the team a large bonus payment to finish in second position in the league, the club would receive £450,000 for finishing second if they finish third or fourth it drops to £200,000

Do you really think that Paul Cooke would stand for someone else telling him who to pick?
As reported, Hull have signed two more half-backs for next season. Miller could be on his way out. What would be the logic in Hull (or someone else) insisting that he plays for the Dons?
The only reason anyone plays for the Dons is because Paul Cooke wants them to.

As a general rule, I wait to see a player play at least half a dozen games before making a judgement on them. I haven't seen enough of Jacob Miller to know whether he's half-decent or rubbish. In the mean time, I'll give him the benefit of any doubt and trust that Paul Cooke knows what he's doing.
