Very true, often the hardest task masters are unpopular but quite often get the best results.

After working with and under certain managers in the past, I've not always agreed with their approach or liked their attitudes, but credit where credit was due, I often found the ones that the workers hated most, were the ones that, from a production perspective, more often than not, achieved the results they were aiming for.



So I agree with BR on this, Jamie Peacock played in a team that won every honour in the British game and he knows what it takes to get to the top.

As Barham Red says...if some don't like their cosy little way of doing things disrupted then tough, we have been going around in circles for far to long and something has to be done to break the cycle.

Otherwise we will all be on this forum in five years time, a little older, probably non the wiser and saying the same things as we are now.

Maybe the ones that are saying peacock is the bad Apple are the ones that peacock and hudgell are going to smoke out (in hudgells words) so if people are having their noses pushed out so be it i will take a season or 2 of people sulking and then they will be gone, if I'm going to be honest if any of the players that played on Saturday never wore our shirt again i wouldn't be to fussed

They've already gone, ones gone to Wakefield and ones gone to Featherstone, no smoking out necessary.

I am very pleased at the response of the Rovers fans for applauding Oldham at the end of the game, they deserved it.



Our board now need to appoint a coach that the board knows the new coach knows more than them. We need somebody that has built a winning mentality at a club previously. A coach that will tell the board what he requires of them, not the other way around.

So, the "bad apple" is now Peacock?



Peacock came from a club that got their business side of things (regarding their departments) in order before they came to be the most successful side in Super League over the previous decade ......They did this because one Chairman decided that their departments should be working together instead of being aloof from each other .......The mangers and staff of each department were sent to Premier League football teams to learn from them, and the result was that the business side of the Leeds Rhinos club came together and started working as a whole and as one and in unity ......This then had the desired effect of impacting on the football department of the club, which then went on to installing a discipline to the football department and ultimately the players and coaching staff concerned.



Peacock has stated that he has a 5 year plan, and I am in no doubt that he is trying to install this business side of things into Hull KR that made Leeds Rhinos the most successful club within the Super League over the previous decade ........And, on a side note, I have worked at Hull KR for a number of years and have seen first hand the deficiencies of Hull KR regarding how they run as a business .......Peacock is a breath of fresh air!
