Some coaches and clubs just aren't the right fit. For whatever reason Chester at Rovers didn't work, he's gone to a new club with probably a similar squad in terms of ability, and everything has just clicked. They scraped a couple of good wins and have ridden a wave of confidence since.



I don't think it was a bad decision to get rid, although that depends on who his long term replacement is I guess.

Spot on him been a Wakefield lad and fan he certainly was a better fit for them be interesting when we play them in a couple of weeks

Pretty much spot on, he was rubbish with us well before Peacock came along and the team has showed improvement since he left. I got the feeling he lacked respect with us and seemed lost in the role. He's gone into a team that has been set up and had to just instill a bit of belief. The proof will be how he handles adversity and if he can build for next year. Don;t begrudge the guy his current success but him staying with us was not an option.

Chester could not handle the pressure it got to him especially with Hull FC doing well it was too much for him you can't hide either side of the river He should never have been given the head coaches job. He lost the job at Rovers when he said the Waky game was not a must win game,every game is a must win game or why bother turning up?

Fare play he is doing well at Waky but watch what happens if and when the bubble bursts he will collapse again.

With regards to the post yes it is going to be a hard run in but I agree get all the bodies back and a full team on the field we will be ok don't forgot we only just got beat by without doubt the best team in the competition and top of the pile Hull FC they have bought well and not only that blended well give credit where it is due if we aren't good enough to do what they are doing then I hope they win it. If we were equal to them it would be great for me if we finished top and them second they are from Hull our city support your team but give them credit.

Or he is now restricted with Brian Smiths team, coaches and structure. He's had no time to implement any real changes and has a pretty much full strength squad. Lets see how he does once he has to build his own squad
