Swift and painless unlike watching Hull defend their way slowly out of the playoffs.

I think in the short term, Rovers aspirations should be to use Hull as a yardstick. Better, better youth, more success, better financially. could learn something. Then admittedly once there, look to kick on past. Pointless trying to limp before you can crawl.

Although they're likely to remain a common comparator, in a 'yeah, how is that any different to when you...' kind of way, because the rivalry makes it harder to make dispassionate judgements, they're actually a very poor yardstick IMO. Plus our situations are different in some ways, as they are from every other club.



Where it makes a bit of sense, is when it reflects the local economic situation. Their ticket sales were not quite as good as they'd have liked, and nor were ours - same underlying cause in large part.

We do use hull as a yardstick,we plod on under our own steam as best we can,and if we get in dire straits we can always play our "joker" and merge with another club.!! Ring any bells.!

You and Stan should familiarise yourselves with the first post. This is exactly what the thread was ment to be. Following taking 4-6 weeks getting back from London this whole forum has been one troll fest since these 4-5 muppets have gotten the courage to post on here again. It was noticable when the 4-5 buffoons who are highjacking every thread (interestingly they all posted on here too saying how boring a thread it is when it summarises their whole posting history. I think most of them post on here as Ginger Spice is the closest they get to female company) the forum was much better and it was noticeable that alot of people were posting discussing relevant rugby issues whilst they trudged back from the capital following boring the nation on national tv.

They know who they are. I've burnt all my Beatles albums as I get headaches and nausea whenever I see George Harrisons face or hear his voice now. Someone whose Legends and Icons are Katie Price Margeret Thatcher and Jimmy Cricket I personnally don't want to hear their view or pubesent ramblings.

A serious note in the thread is we shouldn't compare our selves with perenial underachievers (the biggest underachievers in RL) even if they are close by. We should rise above their arrogance now if Rovers want to make further progress and look to others.

This forum should move on too.
