| You harp on that FC sign over the hill players in Feka & Ellis at 32& 30 but theyve both been established players at the highest teams in SL and Ellis in the NRL but your getting Charlie back, and how old is he? and yes he gives is all but what as he achieved other then earning a wage in the game??? nothing at all.

| Adrian lam speaks very highly of them saying one of them is good enough to play in the nrl so that's good enough to me and don't throw the old chestnut that it will stop gametime for our young players if there good enough they will play

he's not exactly gonna say there cr@p is he.
these two have too be classed as projects IMO and given time to settle and get up to speed but hopefully they'll come good. 2 out of 3 successes with PNG lads so far, hopefully it'll be 4 from 5.

Tbf BF Sam Moa came over as a project and look at him now . It's fair to say no one knows anything about them on these forums so time will tell either way

| Quote headhunter="headhunter"I couldn't care less if they played in the NRL, they are poor players and contribute nothing to the competition. They were only signed because they are Australian. As a neutral I'd much rather see PNG players or similar being given an opportunity than mediocre Aussies who are only here because they couldn't make it elsewhere and clubs like Hull FC are daft enough to sign them instead of giving young players a chance.'"
Nearly every point you make is laughable. Whilst not worldbeaters Holdsworth and McDonnell are both solid players who have put in good performances for Salford, KR and FC. Didn't Holdsworth win a MOM at an exiles game?
Why sign PNG players over Australians? Is it because you've just signed two? As for your last sentence - from a club that said they were going to promote youth and then signed a whole range of mediocre players (and some bloody good ones too, before you quote back at me). Do you remember Joel Clinton? You are also about to sign Ben Cockayne and have taken Netherton back. Is that giving youth a chance?

| The standard in PNG is rapidly improving.
Every year they play the best of their local players against the PMs XIII made up of all rep standard NRL players, and they hold their own (they do have a massive homeground advantage).
The other thing to take into account is that these guys come from one of the poorest countries on earth and their prospects at home would be to maybe make a thousand pounds a year, so even a minimal contract makes them feel like millionaires, and they will literally do anything short of killing for that chance. They won't be like old Australians who are there for a pension - they will give every bit of effort they possibly can to keep earning money.

Holdsworth is OK, McDonnell isn't. You new young half back might turn out well given time.

2 things.
1 Roopy isn't a HKR fan.
2 I do hope you can back that statement up with hard evidence.
