They're there because it's the best competition in the world, they get treated like celebrities and they are idolised above anyone - for the same reason footballers choose to come to the EPL as opposed other leagues in Europe, even if the money is the same.



The fact that there's a lot more money in the NRL is just another reason why players are going over, but money alone won't stop it.

If Hodgeson are Burns do leave us at the end of the season, on todays showing we are going to be right royally fecked next year if we don't bring some quality signings in, as they are the only two that look like they've played the game before at times.

Yes I do. There are more conflicting arguments in that situation, but simply anyone whose "ambitious" would still choose the NRL - it's like asking a kid out of uni if he'd like to work at an investment bank for terrible pay working with the best and brightest minds in their field, and all the benefits that come for working for a world renowned company - or for double the pay work in Aldi stock checking. Of course there are some who would just take the money and a cushy life, but many of "the best" wouldn't.



Throwing money at the situation is too simplistic a view personally, there aren't the easy fixes like that as some would have you believe.
