When things aren't going your way, what do you expect?
Still a couple of decisions that could've gone your way, did, but not to blame the ref, reminded me of Leeds Rhinos after round 3!

| Those camouflage shirts that the Wire wore were very good. None of the Leeds players could spot them to tackle em !!!

| First off, to be fair, credit to Warrington, but Child was embarrassing tonight.

From my reckoning, the penalty count will be more or less even so there's no room for any Leeds fan to whinge.
My one criticism was that he let far too much go without further punishment. A lot of the penalties were for infringements at the PTB. A hell of a lot of them were in fact. The amount of penalties he gave suggests that in his opinion, penalties were repeatedly being conceded for the same offences. He should have gone to his pocket and clamped down on them harder in my opinion. That way, I'd guess we wouldn't have a 'The James Child Show' thread tonight. There shouldn't be that many penalties is a pro game of RL, and if there is, there should at least be a sin-binning to show that the ref has tried to clamp down on the infringements harder.

| As a neutral I thought Childs had a reasonable game ... if Leeds persist with petulant tactics expect more punishment from future ref's.
42 - 6 is a reflection on your teams performance (and Warringtons) not the ref

| From my view in the North Stand, Child had a pretty decent game, he certainly made less mistakes than most of the Leeds players. If you had to level any criticism at him it's that he could have got the yellow card out to show that the offences had to stop, but he didn't.
Warrington were very good, Child was good and Leeds were poor.

| Indiscipline killed any slim chances Leeds had - this has been an issue with this group of players since Smith was in charge - it will not change until the squad changes.

| I thought he got everything spot on in the first 15 mins including the hall and Ali knock ons which despite being blatant and repeatedly shown in slow motion were too difficult for the majority of the ss to understand. I then thought he got a but whistle happy and that we didn't really get the rub of the green. The strip on smith was as poor a decision as I've seen in a long time. They needed no help to beat us and I thought they got more in their favour than we did. There was a point in the 2nd half where he gave us a scrum on halfway where no one had a clue what had been given! He's still the worst ref in SL IMO based on the year as a whole

| As I said on the VT, he had an excellent game. Leeds tried their luck when things were going against them and he wasn't having any of it. The Sound Stand tried to pressure him and he stuck to his guns.
I even think the Lee Smith "strip" was a fair call. Smith was inches from the line where else are Hodgsons hands supposed to be? Lee Smith then tries to pull the ball back in a rush, moving off the mark and losing it.
Leeds were always going to have their backs against it so having a ref that wasn't going allow himself to be pressured wasn't going to help them, a tad unlucky in a way.

while i agree leed sgot battered and were 2nd best by far your attempt to justify that decision is even worse than leeds' performance. if touch judge/ref cant see as blatant a penalty as that why do we even bother paying them?

| I thought he got a lot of decisions spot on but......
tens were poor and the ruck was shoddy for BOTH sides.
Fair play to the Wolfs, full value for the points.

| Dont know what it is with child but games were he refs just seem out of control. I agree he got a lot right but they seem pedantic pens, he penalises the small stuff the lets a blatant head high or choke tackle go. He seems to frustrate players and fans alike.
I know if child is the ref the game will be spoilled. Wire were miles better tonight and he never influenced the result, if it was another ref they may have won by more but he did influence the manner and mood of the game which is not right, id love him to ref NRL and see how long hed last.
