Without trying to jump to rash concusions after a terrible team display - Does anyone think it is going to work with Buderus and Diskin in the 17? Is it me or would anyone have preffered to have seen Kirke or Amor coming off the bench when we lacked punch?



We've won 4 GFs with just one hooker and a big bench. Why change?



Its not just based on tonights game, last season (when Bedsy fit) it didnt seem to work either. At this moment in time having Diskin on the bench seems to offer very little. Atleast with the Cunningham and Roby combo Roby makes a BIG impact off the bench. The Diskin and Buderus combo is no where near as effective.



I hope in a few weeks time this thread will prove me wrong, but at the min imo were a better team with one hooker and a big bench.

Two hookers has feck all to do with making unforced error after unforced error! Let's get our completion rate something like acceptable, put together something that resembles a kicking game and then see what works and what doesn't.

As i mentioned that the combo didnt work last season either then im not just basing it on tonight.

I'm a big fan of Buderus but tonight I thought he was pretty ordinary, some of his passes were woeful but then he wasn't the only one.

Diskin did at least make at least one break, maybe more but the whole display so was so dispiriting I can't recall.

What worries me is the loss of go forward from only having 3 forwards on the bench when the conditions are so heavy.

So until the pitches dry out a little esp at home, McLennan may have to reconsider his strategy & tactics.

However, we were really hampered today by injuries that reduced our substitution options.

Still Superleague is not won in February.

Im not saying we lost becuase of two hookers. Sure we played shocking. We were very flat and lathargic in the second half. An extra forward would have helped a lot.

Correct, as a team we have done pretty awesome with just Diskin. I really like Buderus as he is world class, its a bit catch 22. I cant see it working with two hookers. After the success we have had with Diskin it would be foolish to drop him from the side.



The point of the thread is that i would just like to see a big big bench that doesnt include Diskin/Buderus
