A World class try again, against a world class winger. Had a very good game but I feel he still could go up another gear to improve his overall game. Still the best winger on the pitch by a country mile.

Briscoe took his try very well.

Monaghan ridiculously good attacking those high kicks though. Hall's a better all round winger but Monaghan is as good as anyone I've ever seen in those situations.

Not wanting to be negative but up until his try I thought Briscoe was pretty shocking.

On Briscoe you have to question whether he is truly worth his place in the side?

Agreed but (not wishing to be critical) I thought Joel Moon was pedestrian in helping him deal with the kick into the corner. Ryan didn’t have much opportunity with the same type of attacking kick towards the Wire try line. Was happy with the Team performance

I don't think there was much Hall could have done really, any winger would struggle in that position where they don't have the same running start the attacker does. What I do find annoying though is that Leeds rarely apply any kick pressure. You know what Warrington are going to do in that situation so put as much pressure on the kicker as possible.

Yet again Hall goes to pieces under high kicks, yet again it is excused. Monaghan doesn't do that every week, but then again wingers don't struggle defending high kicks Like Hall does.



His first try showed his real quality a try not many players would score.



Yet Briscoe still gets critisized for a very good game, and scoring a try that Hall would never have scored.

You thought Briscoe was good for the first hour of that game?

So if defending Monaghan is so easy how is it that he manages to out jump every winger in SL? His scoring record is second to none in the league.



Briscoe has an overlap a perfect pass from his centre which he drops cold and you ignore it - let's not go near his defence!!



I have said Briscoe is a pet player for you and you seem incapable of seeing his failings.

I disagree with idea that Hall went to pieces more it is Monaghan is better in that area and you regularly see him scoring tries that way more so in the seasons he was on the wing. He regularly did it against most teams.

I also believe that Briscoe had a ok game until the try and I believe he is definitely worth his place in the side as there is no one better fit to drop him for.

I thought he was better than good. What exactly did he do wrong? He certainly didn't conceded a try and nearly another like his other winger., yet one gets praise and the other not. Had you got off your couch and left the room when he stopped a certain try at end of first half? Delaney may have made the tackle but it was Briscoe using his head which stopped the pass for the overlap, which slowed the play for Delaney to tackle.



And Sal told you before I don't have favourites. I comment on what happens in a match, I don't hold grudges like you either. If I did have a favourite it certainly wouldn't be a winger, a position I have continually said are two a penny.

Hall was challenged by one of the worlds best wingers for that type of kick. Briscoe had a chance to put the game to bed if he had kept hold of that class pass in the 1st half.Hall is more devastating from 10 meters out from the opposition try line and Briscoe like wise @40 meters.

He was given a clear run into space only to drop the ball with nobody near him, and he totally misjudged a Warrington bomb which bounced, but luckily for him ended up with Paul Wood and didn't lead to a try. He also failed to gather to kick off after the Joel Moon try, Thankfully though, I have Tevo so whenever I need to leave the comfort of my very comfortable sofa I can pause the game



He did take a very good kick right at the end of the game, and the fend for his try was Senior/Hall esqe

I would agree entirely with that last statement. I disagree with the first part. Defending high kicks is something Hall has been caught out on by several opposition over last couple of years. Standing flat footed is not a good start to defend one. But he makes up for it with a class try.



Hence why if Briscoe had done that I can understand the critisizing. But he didn't. Yet one gets excuses all the time and the other can't do right. There is only one pet player here.



I don't understand how after a good team performance, one lad who actually happened to win the game gets critisized, when he did nothing wrong. I wouldn't even critisize Kirke after that game.

You need to watch properly mate. He dropped a ball on half way with a Wire player in front of him coming at him, because he was watching that player. He didn't let a ball bounce, watch it properly, it is Hardaker and McGuire the two players. The ball to touch after moons try was messed up by Hardaker and Peacock first, so thanks for confirming the fact that only one gets critisized.
