he was amazingly confident under the bomb, the confidence and skill shown by all the young lads tonight lets me think the future is bright.

That could of been funny.

Its probably 12 months to two years off, but he defo is looking like Wellos potential replacement. Especially with Saints grooming him in the academy at fullback.



He was sensational tonight on the wing in defence and attack.

He took three miracle catches from crossfield kicks, scored a try, made a 40 yard break along touchline taking the cas winger on the outside(Something Gardner has never done), before passing inside to Eastmond who scored.

He also made two or three stepping runs in midfield of 20 to 30 metres, and repeatedly bust tackles.

in a couple of seasons, the lad is a natural.

I just find myself worrying about his head.

It must be a deeply buried maternal instinct or something. He's a right tough cookie but even so, that metalwork ...



He well deserved his MoM tonight, did Lomax. Although he got some protection for his high bomb - or the one that happened right by me anyway (and funnily enough Cas didn't try kicking to his wing again!) - he was outstanding tonight I thought. He looks very much at ease on the field, in a similar way to Wheeler. Very natural, as has been said. Lots of potential there.

I like Lomax.

A good Billinge lad, but I'm not sure fullback is his best position.

Thought he plays best in the half backs personaly but he certainly is a future star.
