I think if McNamara reckons Thorman is the answer to our problems then he is more deluded then I had realised. I'd take him as a back up/squad player but he shouldn't be a 1st choice halfback. If we're letting BJ go, then surely we should be trying to recruit someone who is better?

We certainly don't need more weak defenders...

most of reports I've seen have said thorman would be coming as cover - not as a starting player, which I'd have no real problem with provided we get some real quality for the starting berth. days when you could go into a season with only two halves are long gone imo and jeffries going,deacon injury prone and no one ready to step up from academy level we'll need some cover next year.
