Would have thought Bulls should have warned fans attending Magic Weekend that NO flasks,bottles,cans or other portable containers allowed in Stadium; also Spectators are not allowed to take their own food or drink onto Stadium Premises. Suppose this is what you get when hard up Sheiks need money to pay their footballers!

It said that at some of the other stadia where the magic weekend games have been, but we have been let in with water bottles and food.

The Regs were on Rhinos site for benefit of Supporters going this weekend, so its fair to assume they apply is it not. Perhaps our Club can clarify situation.

Can you take your own food and water into Odsal?

Have contacted Etihad Stadium and RFL Ticketing who both confirm that speccies cannot take their own food and drink into Stadium.RFL suggest leaving items in car and getting passouts to return to car.

Will miss having my comforting flask of coffee nestling beside me, as it does at Odsal

Not sure what you mean but in the last year have had picnic at Lords Test Match, plus several visits to Emirates Stadium. No problems at all taking the stuff in, and eating/drinking it. Why is it a problem at Etihed?

I got the distinct impression that RFL are not interested in any problems thrown up by the Ground Regulations. When I pointed out that other Grounds allowed bags,food,drink etc the spokesperson suggested I was putting myself at risk of being blown up by terrorists on such premises.

One of the by-products of the society of mis-trust we are creating. That & the ground wanting to make mega bucks out of having to buy their crap.
