I went to the magic weekend with my Wife and two young children (son 6 & daughter 4 years old) to watch all the games on Sunday and my daughter really likes mascots (she thinks there real bless her)





She wanted to have her picture taken with Bull Man but he never came close. She then as a last resort asked me to take her down to Ronnie the rhino to have her picture taken which i did, the Leeds fans where actually really nice however on my way back to my seat our own fans started turning on me.



"Call yourself a bulls fan your a disgrace !!!" And so on, now I'm all for friendly banter between fans but this was ridiculous and quite aggressive. In hindsight I should of expected some type of backlash but wasn't expecting that.





Just wondered what other people's thoughts were on this ?

All jokes aside that's unfortunately what you get, a few idiots that think it's football and think it's okay to abuse other people.

It's not a family sport when a large section of fans are chanting "Bradford's full of c*nts". As a large chunk of the Leeds support were on Sunday.

You should have expected and recived no backlash whatsoever. The idiots calling you are the ones at fault, probably tanked up and definately bang out of order if you're with your kids.



Unfortunately the minority can spoil events, all teams have them, some more than others. Hope you all enjoyed the rest of the day at least.

I agree that these events and the finals always attract some idiots that are only there for a booze up. I was unpleasantly surprised with just how many of the Leeds fans were chanting what I mentioned though. Certainly quite a lot more than your usual "minority", albeit not the whole lot of them thankfully. Spoke to a Bulls fan earlier who was in the middle of it all and he mentioned it was a considerable amount of them doing it, not just 10 or 20.

We have a few of our own as do most clubs unfortunately. Shame some folk use the Magic weekend as a cue to get tanked up and can't hold their beer. Big matches always did attract a minority of those and always will.

Agreed. One of the reasons I'm not a fan of the big events and don't usually go. It's a shame really as the good ones that go to Finals can make it a really great and special day to all be there together and getting along. If we could keep away the kn0bheads, it would be such a fantastic occasion.

There should be areas in the ground reserved for the fancy dress wearing, alcopop swilling, go to one game a year groups that usually get on everyone's tits.



Then at least we'd know where to avoid.

When the bulls played at Headingley last year, I was that embarrassed by some bulls fans swearing as loud as they could,with no respect as to who could hear them,I told them to shut and was in the mood to give one of them a crack if he didn't shut up, and no I'm not a hooligan who wants to have a fight at a rugby match

Headingley is always the worst of our away games for that. Some Bulls fans treat it as a reason for a full day beer session. Which means you get exactly the same issues as have been mentioned about the big games.



And I agree, it's embarrassing. There was a large group of young lads attaching themselves to the Fat Dogs group (don't think they were regulars at home games with them) who were particularly bad.
