Just out of interest, does anyone know when the RFL are announcing the second new Championship one team for 2013 as they were planning to announce one a month. Seems a while since Northampton were announced?

They were probably going to announce Bristol next but the bid has split over whether to play in Bristol or Gloucester. Why they don't prioritise a more established amateur side like Coventry Bears I don't know. They're keeping announcing Hemel til last in case they don't have a suitable ground in place I believe.

Thought medway were a shoe in?

Of the course the RFL will prioritise a more established side.



Why would they even consider promoting a less established side and then letting that side go pop?

I can't see how Hemel can have a stand built in time. Shame they can't share with Berkhamsted FC. Only 5 mins down the road, same borough, 2500 capacity. Or Hemel FC!
