Talks a great game but does not deliver at the highest level any more. His great days at the Bulls are a long way behind him.

| I agree.
A younger coach is need. One that can attract good players from both hemispheres! He's got to be able to talk the talk and walk the walk. And preferably one available to start now as the Dr seems impatient and no one wants to throw away an entire season!

| And where is the evidence that Noble does not perform at the top level anymore?

| Why avoid ?
His last coaching position was at Crusaders where he threw a team together last minute and made the top 8 .. sound familar.
who ever it turns out to be , the decision better be done quickly even if it is post RLWC
in the meantime maybe they do some research on what makes a great coach

Great shout and why not bring Murphy and Ashcroft in as his assistants to provide some extra vocal support in the dressing room.

| Noble would get my vote as I'm sure him and Sheens know each other well so when he does take over (I think it's a given after the World Cup he's the man)
He would bring a much more defensive culture which while it may not make for Globetrotter style rugby would without doubt sure things up and result in more wins. I for one would love Noble at the club in any capacity as his rugby knowledge and respect in the game world wide is second to non.
Noble for the rest of the season with Long & Hunte helping him and then Sheens with Long and another assistant long term.

| As I understand it Noble took Veivers to Bradford and to Wigan with him - so he must rate Veivers.
As I remember it,the Wigan fans didn't care for him as he failed to give youngsters their opportunity.
Noble nearly returned to Bradford during their financial crisis last year, and do the dirty on Potter, but it failed to happen.
He did of course make the then world record signing with Fielden.

only issue i see with this is..... would Noble come in for 9/10 months then walk away? especially if he would be applying outright for the job anyway?
i actually dont think we would lose too much attacking prowess if he came in as long, with the right players can make anyone look globetrotters it would seem based on last years squad. Saints have managed it pretty much for the last 20 years and at the same time, retained good defence.

| i would like to see Noble in but at the same time have Long as attacking coach and Cunningham as Defence coach. You then get that blend of fresh from the coal face of playing which long as already brought, mixed with experience and in-depth knowledge. All 3 are winners and know what it takes and eventually it can lead to us having Noble's ready made replacement with these 2.

Well you can forget that ever happening. Cunningham will never leave Saints! They call him the King for a reason!

| Why are you guys apparently ignoring Alan Hunte - as the Doc himself said "“Alan Hunte will take charge of the team for the time being and I will be interested to see how things go for him. He, too, could become a strong contender. "
Personally I'd be delighted if Hunte shows the old guard how it should be done!

| No chance at all of Hunte being appointed full time.
Firstly,we are apparently looking for a high profile coach to attract high profile players.
Secondly,as far as I'm aware he's never coached a team.
The good Doctor can't really say much else as Hunte could be doing the job for a week or two.
Noble just gone to Oz. Coincidence?
