That to be the best you have to beat the best and if you want to improve you have to play people who are equal or better than yourself.

Lima and Hoffman have both played international for NZ and Australia respectively.

Finch has played State of Origin a few years ago.





Leuluai will be moved to hooker and he isn't as good as Riddell there. All other positions will be strengthened by these signings.

The two journeyman Lima and Finch are duds, Hoffman is really good though.

Riddell, Feka, Phelps, Deacon, Bailey all rumoured to be going.

McGuire's got his head screwed on Pemps. All those rumoured to be going are not good enough.

so they aren't really much better



of course they will work well together (being team mates already)



but it is how well they are with the rest of the team



seems like MM is patching a large hole (three high profile and high cost players instead of youth players) rather than fine tuning

Riddell is the only one leaving who we'll miss. Finch gives us the organiser we're lacking, Hoffman and Lima will add a bit of grunt to our pack that we've not really had all season aside from Coley.

Whilst Hoffman is a good solid player it's a shame for the good young back-rowers coming through at Wigan that Wigan are strengthening in this area. With Tomkins, O'Loughlin, Farrell, Hansen, Tuson, and Mossop, not to mention all the other lads out on loan I would have thought Wigan were well covered in this area, although you can't blame Wigan for signing international class players.

Lima is a solid prop, which is something Wigan probably need and will be an improvement on Feka.

Finch will give them a decent organising 7 for the first time in a long time.
