As already announced he has a Testimonial period of 12 months granted by the RFL. First event a Sportsman's Dinner on August 2 with Robbie Hunter Paul as guess speaker. Only hope all BeLievers get behind not only James but his dedicated committee to make the whole year a financial success. Tickets will be out and about next week.PM me for details. First saw him as a gangly 17 yo in the Academy team, with Adam Bibey, that played a final at Dewsbury, the cameos as a part timer in 2005 lead onto a great start to the 2006 season, his hits on Terry O'C at a Widnes game were real bone crunchers and nearly ripped him in half.

Always gave 100% and can hold his head high, Thank you Jimmy and all the best for your future.

It's a pity we can't have an old-style testimonial game at season's end - Jimmy's Select XIII vs Leigh Legends. Get back some of the players he's starred alongside and against over the last decade, and a few more Leyther Legends to mingle with the crowds and get involved in some half-time high jinks?



Fiver a ticket, I'm sure it would draw an appreciative crowd!!

I'm in, hold it at Leigh East; much easier to organise and less overheads.

A massive shame, but one of those players you know will be remembered in the future, and for all the right reasons.

There has been many a dull game that has been brought to life by a JT tackle and he has also inspired his team mates many times with a big hit when the game wasn't going Leigh's way.



Jimmy has always given 100% for Leigh and will always be remembered by Leigh fans for all the right reasons.



Rugby can be a cruel game later in life and Jimmy will know himself best if now is the time to finish.
