Sorry to be a party pooper and it looks like I’m going to be out on my own on this one, but IMO Haven were very poor both in skill and fitness, if we’d have played a decent side we would have been about 18 down in the first ten minutes, and against a fitter team we may not have come back, nor would they have dropped off tackles so easy, I said at the start of the season Paterson would be a great signing for us and as good as it was from our point of view the try he scored as he danced through what seemed all of their team was a disgrace defensively.



I know we can only beat what is in front of us, but with what’s going on in SL at this moment I haven’t seen much to show we will be causing an upset come the 8’s. I just hope its all about player’s coming back, getting fully match fit/battle hardened and peaking at the right time.

Fantastic performance and now we have a fully fit squad everyone needs to perform at the top level other wise we have a list of players waiting to come in :-

This is the same Haven who have been going really well, i think you are under estimating how good we were, SL vs Championship yesterday... with a host of players out..

Andrew Dixon comes to mind - has been a regular selection when fit.

I don’t care how they’ve played against other teams I can only base my opinion on what I’ve seen and they were the worst team I’ve seen us play this season.



As for players missing, that was my MD’s excuse for his team’s poor performance I told him I could pick a team from our shopfloor good enough to get nil against Wakefield

, that same team could possibly have got 6 against Leigh yesterday.

OK, I did cheat a little bit, Brierly proberly has been better of the 2 over their whole Leigh career. However based just on performances this year (admittedly while Ben had a point to prover after getting some extra game time & while Ryan was concocting his master plan with Give Me Your Money) but this year I'd say Ben has been much better.

Agree Haven wern't up to much today defensively and we're no where near sl standard yet. However what's really pleasing is the improvent we're seeing each week & the last few weeks that seems to have got more and more. Just a few weeks ago we were grinding out wins even against teams we should be beating comfortably, yesterday we looked in total control. We keep on getting better & hopefully will carry on with that, have to wait & see how good we are come the Super 8s.
