based on what I have read here - if not being able to tackle is an injury - yes

Keith read what I put on another thread. He wasn't alone with his bad defence in parts. That Barrow team should have made it to the halfway on paper but he is the one that kept getting left on his own on the wing. Our sliding defence is a joke and I really feel for the lad. I'm not saying he didn't make mistakes but for people shouting " get that effin Brown off the field" and others shouting "come on Brown. Get into the game". Get into the game? What did they expect? For him to run around the field tacking anything that moved? I'm gutted for the lad. I don't know if he was injured but if not physically he must be mentally now.

I've not spoken to anyone so don't know if injured or taken off for other reasons all I will say is Paul Rowley is the best qualified person in this town to make the judgement on a player and he is paid to do so.



Alex is a SL quality player so I'm sure will prove his worth over the course of the season.



Getting on players back will never help so we need to back the kid and help him build his confidence as lets not forget its a new environment and a new club and he's still settling in.

I've watched it a few times now Keith and if one player alters his defending angle ( and he does do it looking to intercept the ball or a player running inside) they all follow. So instead of sliding out wide they start to drift inside.

Fred Parky's videos are always good footage so Rowls will have plenty of time dissecting it & putting things right for all the lads to improve their game

Agree with Mr chairman here... And after doing a sports coaching course at university.. With a certain Mr Paul Rowley i feel i can have an opinion. I noticed this a few weeks ago in the league last week. When we are being attacked out wide in their half there is a serious lack of communication. Brown was left seriously isolated during the games but there was no communication between him and his centre. Don't get me wrong we are playing amazing rugby. BUT if we can get that sorted and defending kicks we will be so strong!

Rowls & Jukesy would get bored if they didn't have something to fix up this week guys.



Let's remember teams have teams within teams.



I.e left, right and core.



Right side we have AJ, Stu and Tommy G all been playing together a while and know each other's game.



Left we have Alex, Tom and Matt Sarsfield all new to the club and learning about each other still.



We've only conceded 20 pts in two games and scored 104 so while I'm sure Rowls will work on certain areas I'm pretty sure he will be sleeping well tonight.



Defensive units and communication in all sports usually improve with game time.

Yet there are still players being slated by some on here. Words fail me.

Laughable aint it. Let in only 20 and some players are still rusty. We will only improve this season and i can not wait. Someone is in for a hiding!
